With the rise of technology, the need for physical banking locations decreased. Vibrant Credit Union didn’t want to lose the face-to-face connection with their community, so they got creative and turned a few locations into Vibrant Coffeehouse + Kitchen! Lucky hummingbirds got to visit one of their locations in the Quad Cities and Des Moines!

It all started when Monte Bennett hired a young economics student named Matt McCombs to work at his coffeehouse. After graduation, McCombs became a banker, but never lost his love for a good coffee shop and the curiosity of owning his own. Later, when Vibrant Credit Union lost the need for as many physical locations, he sprouted the idea to combine coffee and banking. It was the perfect way to fulfill their mission statement of people over profits! Thus Vibrant Coffeehouse + Kitchen was born.
They currently have three locations in Iowa and Illinois. Aside from getting a bite to eat and great coffee, you can still do your banking! All three locations include a vibrantLive ITM (interactive teller machine) that acts as a traditional ATM after hours.

Followers were so excited about going to Vibrant Coffeehouse + Kitchen! People who had already experienced the coffee shop shared their love for it in post comments, while many others said they couldn’t wait to give it a try. Many of the hummingbirds loved their items so much that they recommended them by name including the iced Andes mint latte, bacon + gouda sandwich, blackberry white mocha, and more!
