What better way to build community than building crafts!? Ted Lare Designs invited hummingbirds to get creative and converse with others at themed design workshops. Hummingbirds shared about their workshop experience on their social media so friends and family could join in on the fun and learn about Ted Lare Design Build.

about Ted Lare Design Build

The landscaping design and installation company was founded by Ted Lare in 1982, and their garden center is located in Cumming, IA. The current site is the former location of The Cumming Apple Orchard, and part of it is still preserved today. Ted Lare Design Build continues to be a family run business: Ted is acting president, his wife, Jean lare, is the designer and manager, and their two children are also managers and designers.

about the Ted Lare workshops

Hummingbirds were invited to participate in one of six different workshops. Some options included winter themed workshops building products like wreaths, and halloween workshops creating products like succulent or orchid planters.

workshop results

Not only did hummingbirds make a wonderful decorative item to take home, they created fun content to share with their network! Through their posts, the hummingbirds showed off the beautiful Ted Lare space and the high-quality products they carry. Some followers commented that the workshops looked like a blast and remarked that they would love to attend a future one. The posts certainly inspired other to get crafty - hopefully using the Ted Lare products the saw in the birds’ content!
